OH MY GOSH! Your a sweetie! Just make sure you understand the hormonal rollercoaster she is about to enter! She will cry alot and all you can do is listen and be there for her! Congrats to you both! Rub her feet and buy her a gift so when she gives birth she has something special from you..as mostly the baby gets all attention.then she feels so special! Your gonna be a wonderful daddy! Congratulations again!
well for one thing, treat her like a queen because she is carrying your child! pay attention to her needs and dont get mad if shes tired or in a bad mod, its just the hormones.
There is so much you will learn, it will come natural. There are books for women out there, What to expect when your expecting. It would be something good for both of you read together..good luck!! And Congratulations!!
Don't go overboard on what foods she can eat, and certainly never tell a pregnant woman what she can't have or can't do. Just take real good care of her. Cook for her when the sight/smell of food is too much, and once the weight of the baby starts to take it's toll rub her back and feet for a few minutes a day. Above all, expect mood swings and stay calm through them. During one argument my partner asked me 'why are you so emotional?', I could have thumped him. She will have good days and bad days, and she will need you to just roll with the punches and help her keep her cool. Congratulations, and good luck!
Well for now you can only let her know that you are going to support her and be there for her and get ready for all of the attention is going to go to her and you will be okay she has a while before you need to do everything but help her a little more and enjoy it give her lots of love have fun DAD
Dont listen to chick advice on this one, if you treat her too well she will have you eating out of her hand long after the sprog has flown the nest, I had my mrs pulling turnips in the field the day before and the day after she gave birth. Buy her a bunch of grapes and a new frying pan that'll show her the score.
I also found it helpfull to take a mistress five months either side of the happy event.
Good luck
Wow, congratulations, that's fabulous. During the pregnancy your wife will need plenty of folic acid, she can get this from eating brussel sprouts, green beans, broccoli, oranges and spinach. Other than this it would be your average healthy diet of lots of fruit and vegetables, protein etc. For more advice of looking after your wife there are plenty of websites available but the midwife can suggest the best books, antenatal classes, diet and websites but http://www.pregnancy.originalbabysite.co. is a good site for general information and has lots of handy links. Smoking is out and drinking should be limited.
If she's pregnant, congratulations to you and her! Be patient! If she goes through her cravings, mood swings, morning sickness, etc, don't take anything personally and just be there for her emotionally as well as physically. I had to remind my husband that I couldn't help certain things sometimes. He got it right away.

If she ends up going through morning sickness, there may be times where she might think she wants a certain food and when it's in front of her, she won't want it anymore. That happened to me a lot.

Good luck!
Well Congratulations if she is! If you and your wife are trying for pregnancy, even before she suspects she is pregnant, she should be taking prenatal vitamins. And just celebrate when she does get the positive! No alcohol please! LOL! Best wishes!
congratulations!!

i think it may be best to take the lead from her, but overall be kind, be patient, and be there.

best wishes

Make sure she rests especailly during the first trimester. This is the time when she needs looking after the most!

Make sure she eats well too. The first three months are crucial in the baby's developments. From 12 weeks, the baby just grows.

apart fom the very useful tips on nutrition you should always take out the bins and do the washing-up!
smells drive an early -pregnant woman nuts, bring home little snacks as there are times when you feel so unwell you dont want to cook but eating takes away the nausea..
lemon, pineapple, chilli and olives were the only flavours that tasted true to me for a while-see what your wife finds soothing and remember what the others said-i picked so many fights when i was pregnant because i was hormonal and hungry!
make sure that she relaxes alot dnt alowe her to eat nut or alot of dariy products as the kid could become allergic. congrtz
