Can u get pregnant while on your period?

it seems rediculous that a 25 year old should be asking such a question, but im now a week late. i started getting cramps but i wasnt actually bleeding, and then.. and now im late, is it a possiblity that i could be?

Answers:
nope, just 2 weeks before your period
It's possible to get pregnant during your period, but it isn't as likely as it would be during the middle of your cycle once the egg is in the correct place.
It's highly highly unlikely, as far as I know. I'm no OBGYN though.
YES!! Especially if you drop an egg.
Yes you could be. Go buy a test to be certain.
no you cannot get pregnant when you are on your periods, in fact that is the safest time.

The cycle is a 28-day cycle and the most days to avoid would be 12th to 16th day. Maybe someone else can give you better information, i know its called the safe period but i do not know much since i do not practice this.

But the best way to avoid unwanted pregnancy is to take the pill, and ask your partner to use the condom because the withdrawal is still not 100% due to pre-cu* containing sperm.
I haven't heard of it but when you look at the percentages of the risk factor when it comes to contraceptives, having sex when you have your period is 99.99999% safe. This means there is a fraction of a percentage that you could get pregnant. Best get a test just to reassure yourself!
yes you can, ignore anyone who says you cant because I have a little baby cousin to prove it! they conceived 2 days into her period!
highly unlikely but possible
would be good to know on which day of your period you had the intercourse
I once met a woman who got preggers on the day after her period. She was in her early 40s and with 2 kids. Sperm has a very long "shelf" life. Doctors used to think it's 72 hrs but now many hynaecologists admit it may be more
and then your body is not a watch and you may have had an early ovulation
Contact your doc asap and have a blood test on hcg
I`ve heard that you cant get pregnant 3-4 days before and after but don't take chances anyway
Spend the best ten pound pound ever and get yourself aa test. Sometimes worrying can delay your period too.

Hope you get the result you are hoping for....
yes you can start bleeding before your body drops your egg.
It's highly unlikely, but not 100% impossible, especially if you have unprotected sex late in your period, and you normally have short cycles. However, you need to take a test to make sure.
It doesnt happen very often but it can. So id would take a test if I were you. You could also be late from stress
I'm not sure but i really want a baby so if i get pregnant during my period then that Will be cool
i doubt it.
Yes it is and anyone who says otherwise is very foolish. It's possible to get pregnant at any time during your cycle, but more likely around ovulation.
yes u can if u are unlucky
Yes, it is possible to get pregnant while on your period or any other time.
yes you can, as soon as an unfertilised egg is released from your body in the form of your period, another one replaces it ready to be fertilised, you should do a test as soon as you can
Yes. You can. It is very, very unlikely and also very unusual, but it can happen.

It's more likely you have infection or something else rather unpleasant upsetting you, or even something physically blocking the exit from your cervix (and just being stressed can delay a period) but do go get a pregnancy test done to be sure.

This web page explains it (don't be put off by the title - it's just a nice clear description within!):

um, im going to go with rediculous, go to a library, and read something. I mean really, and all you others, some ssay yes, some say no, some arent sure, no wonder we have such high teenage pregnancy rates. Dear, if you dont know about your body, and all its intricasies, you shouldnt be having sex, even at 25, go and get yourself checked over, for diseases and such, im guessing you havent done that...

The only reason i am not giving you a direct answer, is because anyone, who would base their possible pregnancy on something said on answers.... oh i want to swear so much now.
yes you can but it is not as likely as other times.
Well' I am no expert but my best friend told me that she got pregnant in the middle of her period and she thought it wasent possiable, I never asked the doctor because it keeps slipping my mind, plus I am 5 months Pregnant But my time of Conception was very near the time of my period. That is your most fertile time.
I am 30 years old and fell pregnant last year while on the pill, and now have a beautiful 6 month old son, so you are not silly for asking this question. I understand that although it is rare, you can fall pregnant while you are on your period. My advise to you would be do a pregnancy test, it's the only way that you will know for sure, then once you have the answer you can think about the pregnancy (if you are pregnant) seriously and make any decisions you need to, rather than sitting there wondering if you are pregnant and what to do. All the best.
I dont think you would be.
Of course you can. It is considered to be less likely in terms of trying to concieve, but you can get pregnant at any time of the month and it is different for every individual. You may be very fertile.

Good luck anyway, whatever the outcome.
YES.. Any time sperm stays in you for a week.

go ask experts.

I don't know but if you do want to be pregnant than just sex with your boyfriend. I mean that's how i got a baby girl by sexing with my boyfriend.
sex you if you were a boy.
Yes
It is rare but it is possible, some women ovulate at a different time in there cycle than others and sperm can live a few days in your fallopian tubes. Take a test and set your mind at rest xx
