How long does it take?
My period is 8 days late, i know you guys aint mind readers and i need to take a test but i was just wondering how late i would need to be roughly to get a correct answer as i dont want to take one so soon if i will just get an incorrect answers

With most pregnancy tests, you are able to test of the first day of your missed period, however as everyone is different you should check after a week if your first test is negative as the hormone level should have changed by then. If you are still unsure, go along to the doctor and have him do a test for you. With some pregnancy tests the line which indicates a positive result can seen quite faint, this still means you are pregnant. Good Luck, hope you get the answer you want. x
You dont even have to be late for a lot of the tests. I was only 1 day late when I took a test and it worked.

have a look in the chemist and you should find tests that give an accurate reading from the day your period was due! or you could go and ask the doctor to do a free one as the chemist ones are quite expensive but if you are pregnant it is worth the money! good luck with everything if you are its fantastic being a mum!
I took the test 10 days after I was late.
you can take one now. You could have taken one about 2 weeks ago.. goodluck, whichever you are hoping for!
There are many tests now that you can take even 5 days just before your period. A blood test is 100% and a prego is 99.9% . good luck xx

Take an early pregnancy test(EPT) that is what I did, and you will get a result, I got mine early. Then, no matter what the result, go to a GYN doctor. Good Luck!
Honestly, I took mine before I even missed my period because I just figured I was pregnant and I got a faint line but it was still "positive". I say you can take it as early as the first day you miss your period, so with you it should show positive immediately since you're 8 days late. By the way, I used the 99 cents ones, you don't have to pay alot for a test.
