Im so proud?

my little boy is taking his first couple steps but he gets over exited and lunges forward what can i do to help this he is nearly 10 months old

Hold your finger out for him to clutch. Or get him a little trolley or pushchair that he can hang onto. Don't worry too much about him toppling, they get used to it and are not usually too bothered about it if you aren't. Bite your tongue and wait for moans before rushing to rescue him! My tongue is at least an inch shorter! Just make the spaces he plays in as safe as possible, moving sharp or hard objects out of his way and give him plenty of space. Enjoy this time of discovery with your baby. It's a fabulous time!
yea!!!!
leave him do it, he'll get his balance eventually
hang on to him!
just be there to catch him when he falls..have fun! and congrats!
they all do that just make sure he can't hurt himself and help him by making him walk in between you and your partner. he will get soon congratulations
Who knows he's prolly excited, too. It's natural. He's gotta get balanced properly. Don't worry. Everything's fine.
Get him one of those walking trollies that he can push on to walk with support
Aww, that is so cute! The little guy is bound to be excited, my two were exactly the same, always falling over their own feet! Haha, he'll get the hang of it soon enough, I don't think there's really anything you can do other then help him practice and keep him way from sharp/dangerous objects! :o)
GREAT!!

but you should know.the longer a baby crawls the better their reading comprehension will be.so don't push too hard, that brain development is important!
He is just getting used to it, he will be fine! Well done Mum, he's taken to it nice and early!
I wouldn't worry. He'll sort it out himself. You could try walking at the side of hime holding his hand, or stand in front of him and catch him, but he is obviously enjoying himself, so give him lots of praise, and in a few weeks time, you'll wish he would sit still for a change!
Aahhh how sweet. I think he will sort his own balance out soon and excuse the pun, Find his feet.
aww, congrats!
That is good walking nice and early. Just let him do it all when he is ready bless him. He will get it right soon enough. Then you will have to worry about catching him.
Enjoy every moment !
Put a helmet on him & let him go!!! J/K Kids are going to fall alot through out life & you will not always be there to pick them up. just let him do it by his self. He'll be more tougher!!
calm down sweetie lunge? LOL sorry :(
He's fine. Try to avoid accidental injuries with obstacles that may be in his way. Be very proud.
let him go. just make sure that all tables with corners, that he can reach are gone (or covered with something soft) so he doesnt hit his head on that.
Try not to cheer him on to much, because if he See's his mummy getting excited he will to, try doing in a serious and encouraging way, he may not get as excited!
you will live and learn .its natural and great to watch have fun now because they soon grow up
make sure there are no sharp edges about and then let him and nature take its course. Buy yourself a good pair of running shoes. You will need them soon.
he's going to do that, cause babies heads' are heavy, and right now he is just trying to control it. don't panic if he falls, cause if he's not hurt, he'll get right back up. he'll learn to control his walking. just be proud, and take pictures.
Thats sweet, but unfortunately the bumps and bruises come with it. One thing though, if you have a coffee table take it out of the room. After my first child got stitches, I took it out of the room, and did the same with my other two. They're very dangerous.
He's okay, he has to fall in order to learn. Jsut keep things out of his way, and keep him on carpet for a while.

This is the age where they constantly have bumps and lumps and bruises. Its just part of the territory.
Well,he can't really balance himself yet,he just needs more practise. He doing go any way.
Wow! An early walker! There's really nothing you can do to help him walk better. He has to figure it all out on his own. However, you can be there to catch him if he falls or baby proof the room(s) that he's doing most of this walking in. Expect some bumps and bruises until he gets it down! CONGRATS!
I agree with the push walkers, that's what my son used, after awhile he'd just push it with one hand, then before I knew it he was off on his own. I got one cheap at walmart.
My 9 month old is doing the same thing. You just have to let him figure out to trust his environment, and he's still working on balancing too. I got my son an activity walker. He loves pushing that thing around! You can get them for around $20 new, but I'm sure you could find one much cheaper in a consignment shop.especially since he won't be using it long.

Go baby, go!
The best thing you can do is to praise him and let him learn. It is wonderful that he is taking steps at ten months but many children do not take steps or walk until twelve months. Your son is right on target it sounds like. Most babies get excited when they start to walk lose balance and fall. It sounds like he is doing fabulous!
