How can you help when a child bangs their head?
My daughter (3 Years old) has bumped the corner of her eye and a lump appeared instantly any remedies (I have done the frozen peas) to ease it she will probably have a black eye in the morning?

this sounds crazy, but it works. Put Vaseline on it. I never heard of such a thing until my mom's best friend told me. It has worked wonders for my son who is learning to walk.
give her some Tylenol to help her just in case she gets a headache

Never heard of vasilne working buyt give it a try. At this point it wont hurt.
It happens. I'd hide her in the house for a few weeks so no one accuses you of something. You know how this world is.
the best thing to do is pick them up and give them a cuddle then a drink to relax them then check their bump and keep an eye on it if it gets big etc go to the gp or hospital
Okay, this will sound really weird. Put BUTTER on it! I know, I know, you think Im crazy, but my Mom, who raised 7 kids swears by it. I have a 14 month old girl and she fell off her chair recently and hit her eye/forehead. It started to swell up and bruise. My Mom was here and despite my protests, she dabbed some butter on it - it stopped swelling instantly. She only had a bruise and a slight bump. I always laughed it off before - its become a running joke in our family, but I am now a converted fan! And make sure you give her some Calpol (baby paracetomol) for the pain.
When I was younger I miss-footed going down the stairs and had a big bump on my head. My mam put butter on my bump and it was ok. Sounds strange and I dont think I would use it on my daughter. Frozen peas sounds like the ideal solution
