Would you use extraordinary means to save siameses twins with shared organs?

If they were your newborns, would you want to save them if they were going to die without medical intervention?

Answers:
Of course! They're Gods creation
Of course you would. I don't envy you the situation though.
Yes I would.
Of course you would want to try and save them, my heart goes out to the people who face that situation.
Yes when the Aliens appear
I think any parent would- but there's no set answer to these types of situations. It really comes down to what the doctors think they can based upon the specifics- can they save both, or will one die? But I'd try everything that offered a chance at life.
If it was to save their lives yes.
But only if there was a good prognosis for life after surgery, why put a baby thru such pain if you can't save them?
Yes, its a risk that one may be willing to take, since they are their children.
They should be allowed to die at birth rather than have a lifetime of misery
Without question. I would do anything I could to save my babies.
Of course they are your babies a mother would do anything for her chilren!
Any parent would always try anything possible to save the life of their child/children.
Of course if they were your babies, I would do all that I could
Yes, I would, but if it was to no avail, I would rest assured that they are perfect in the eyes of the Lord since they are innocent little children.
I'm only answering this because it's just so off the wall.

I could never know for sure what I would and wouldn't do in this heartbreaking situation as it has never come up for me to decide. I read about parents who fight it and lose. I read about the triumphs of doctors who say the surgery was a success but they lost one of the babies. I don't know what I would do as they would both be my child and to lose one would break my heart and to lose them both would shatter me.

I feel so bad for those unfortunate people who have been put in this circumstance and I can only hope that any decision they come to gives them peace.
