we all have crazy dreams or should i say nightmares. they dont mean they going to come true. its stuff at the back of our minds and thats probably one of ur fears in life. just make sure u have a loving realtionship with ur step daughter. im sure she'll accept u as her mother one day. take it easy and enjoy life as it comes. when she grows older, she will appreciate everything you did for her and give you something back.

many times our dreams represent our worst fears. Could you be worried that your step daughter will be taken away to live w/ her mother & the represented male was just authoritive. Or it could be a general dream as to tell you how innocent & need of care she is. I used to have dreams like this all the time, it can be hard to make yourself believe it was a dream, but thats all it was was.
im sure it means nothing, when i was pregnant with my daughter i had dreams she was like the elephant man in looks and the doctors tried to take her away and kill her... but i wouldnt let them,,, even in my dreams i took on this elephant man like child cos she was mine and i loved her unconditionally,,,,
its probably just hammering it home how much you love your step daughter and how much she means to you and just dont forget that... i never forgot my dream,, my daughter was born perfect but i never forgot it and i never ever forgot how lucky i am to have her

i used to dream that i was frantically trying to reach my daughter but obstacles kept getting in the way - the dreams were frequent and upsetting until i decided to go part time and they stopped immediately - for me it was my sense of guilt that i was not spending enough time with her that was triggering the dreams - is there any thing in your life that you may be worrying about subconsciously??
It is just because you feel protective of her but maybe because you are a Stepmother you feel a little less in control, hence the man you did not know. My advice is forget it. It was only a dream & is nothing to worry about.
Normal parent type dream. Fear of separation from your child.
