A farmer had 12 cow, sold 2/3 of them and send 1/6. what fraction of the12 cow did he still have?

Answers:
1/6
2/3 = 4/6
4/6 + 1/6 = 5/6
Therefore 1/6 left.
the boobs, no doubts, i mean, udders.
12*2/3=8 left
1/6*8=4/3
1/6
1/6
1/6
2/3 of 12 = 8 so he's got 4 - 1/6 left

4 - 1/6 = .666 of a cow left
12 x 2/3 = 24/3 = 8 = cows sold
12 x 1/6 = 12/6 = 2 = cows sent
8+2=10 therefore 12- 10 = 2 . therefore he still has 2 cows
1 - 4/6 - 1/6 = 1/6
QED
1/6
Do this:
12(2/3)=8 cows
12(1/6)=2 cows
12-(8+2)=2 cows or 1/6 of them left.
Give up maths.
It is vexatious to the spirit.
2 left.
Enough for a barbie!
he has been left with 1/6 if the cows are dead in the fridge, if the cows are alive i has been left with only one and a 0/6 on the fridge.
1/6. Just enough for sunday lunch.
2/3*12=8 sold.
(1/6)*12=2 sent
12-8-2=2 kept.
23/6
Two left (1/6), just enough milk for my Crunchy Nut Cornflakes !!!
1) one way to do this is to say 2/3 of the cows is 8 (12/3 x2) leaves 4 cows. 1/6 of the original 12 is 2. so he'd be left with 2 cows - that's 1/6 as we just said.
2) another way to do this problem is to "equalise the denominators". 2/3 is the same as 4/6. so he's getting rid of 4/6 + 1/6 of the cows = 5/6, leaving him with 1/6
1/6
1/6
If the number of cows sent is 1/6 of the original, then:

Fraction left = 1 - 2/3 - 1/6 = 1/6
he will have 1/6 of what he started with = 2 cows
1/6
12*2/3
=(12/3)x2
=4x2
=8
8x1/6
=(8/6)x1
=(8/6)
=1&1/3
or 1.33(recurring)
Hope this helps
