LOL, you forgot? Well hopefully my answer will equal what you already knew. Sycamore seeds have a 'wing' attached, which catches the wind and makes them spin away from the tree, thus helping them land just far enough away to grow into a big healthy tree with enough space from it's parent to allow plenty of light and room for it's branches.
Apples, unless they rot at the foot of the tree and the seeds fall into the ground there, might be eaten by animals. The seeds have a tough outer layer and will survive being digested, they'll be left behind when the animal poos and hopefully grow into apple trees.
Does that sound about right?! Hope it helps!
I dont know about the sycamore seeds but the apples are eaten by animals and the seeds are deposited elsewhere in their manure.
Sycamore seeds are like mini single rotor helicopters. When the get released by the wind they spin and can travle quite a while. Apple pips.animal poo. :)
The sycamore seeds have some feather so the wind can lift it..
I have a sycamore tree most of the seeds fall under the tree,im lucky at the back of my garden theres a big field so I throw them on it in hope they grow.I feed the horses my apples in hope they spread seeds around the field via there poo.Birds also drop flower seeds in same way.Hence I get some wonderfull fowers.
The sycamore seeds are dispersed by the wind blowing them! And the apples are dispersed by the animals picking them up and chucking them!
Sycamore seeds catch the wind and fly like a helicopter I spent many happy times in my childhood throwing them to the wind just to see how far they go.Apple and other types of seeds rely on animals to eat them, they are then passed through their system and then deposited in a neat package of natural fertaliser.
Railway tracks are overgrown with brambles because the birds feed then roost on the overhead powerlines then poo.I've even seen Tomato plants growing between the tracks, the result of a British Rail sandwich and a flushed toilet.
You just can't beat nature.
er wind and excrement, do you really need any more by way of an explanation.

Apples some say by bees and the pollination of apple flowers
by bees.
Though some say apples are self pollinating and don't need bees etc to proliferate..
