Please give me a list of all the English counties including Metropolitan areas such as greater london or Birmingham. If you are really keen you could add Welsh counties too.

Sorry to disappoint you, but they change - frequently. If the people currently in power think that moving a county boundary will alter the resuilt of a local election, they do it. I have a very good friend who lives in Oxfordshire according to the people who collect the trash, Northamptonshire according to the people who deliver the mail and the phone company refuses to believe that she exists.
