My daughter wants to adopt a shark any suggestions?
Answers:
John Lewis sell adopt-a-animal packs for £29.99, otherwise try www.careforthewild.com I have adopted a bear for my friend off there, however it has still not arrived after a week so I am getting a little annoyed now. It was 24.99 though.
yea.therapy
dnt?
groups such as the wwf and some charitys allow people to adopt animals.some aqauriams and zoos do it as well
let her
You should not let her get a shark. The shark could kill her and you. When you go to feed it the shark might jump and bite someone.
advise her not to bath with her new pet.

how big is your fish tank????
I think you should let her. If she wants to be involved in the environment and if it is gonna make her feel like she helping make a change somewhere in this world.let her. It's a good idea to support stuff that will make a change.
try wwf web site
Buy a large fish tank?
Make sure it has been well fed before you get in the water with it!!
It is a good idea, and the Adopt a Shark website actually lets you track your shark's behavior in the wild, so your daughter will get to see "her" shark and how it behaves. It will give her something to keep track of rather than just donating some money, and not being able to see where the money goes. Pretty cool!
noooooooo, she will get hurt unless a baby shark that will never grow. i would never get my daughter in a millions year.
So. A person adopting an animal is the same as having one as a pet. Just hope it is a small shark
hmmm where you going to keep it?
if you put it in the bath it could be dangerous it may bite if you feed it.
if you put in the garden pond it may eat your other fish and what happens if you slip in the pond after a heavy bar b que it could eat you.
try to get her too get a cat and not a big one cause that may be a tiger so let an adult choose......
Sit her down and explain you like her to have ambition but maybe you should start with a goldfish and progress from there :-)
i think it's called a dwarf shark, but it looks similar to a nurse shark. quite small. its not as cool looking as those other sharks, but it is a shark and it would make a nice pet :D
Yes get a hammerhead their less likely to bite!
Oh just get her a cuddly toy one, it will be easier to feed, sooner or later people will notice the local children going missing, how would you explain that one away???
Can't see that happening, but why not get her into
adopting a Crock from Australi Zoo in hounour of
th late great Steve Irwin ?
Try the Shark Trust - adopt a shark for £20
I would have her explain to you why she wants to adopt a shark. If it is because of a concern for the welfare of animals or the environment, I would encourage her to do so, but don't let her get scammed by any phonys who are just out to get money for nothing.
Yes, take her to a shrink. get a turtle

Alternatively you could go on the national sealife centre website at: http://www.sealifeeurope.com/sea_life_ce.
You'll need a very big aquarium! But seriously, if you mean adopt one through some wildlife organization, I think it's a great idea. Your daughter will end up learning a lot about sharks and wildlife.
