What do living things do to get substances for energy and to grow?

Answers:
Eat solid food and drink liquids (e.g. humans), filter microscopic organisms out of water (e.g. shellfish), scavenge on rotting meat etc (e.g. carrion crow), make 'food' from sunlight (e.g. green plants), take nutrients from other living organisms (e.g. parasites) etc...
Eating things like other living things
Why not just read your biology book .
Why don't you spend your time doing your homework instead of wasting it asking questions like this.
