I know that it isnt good to feed bread to garden birds but is it ok to feed it to ducks?

I feed both the birds in my garden and the ducks in the local park bread and there all fat and healthy.
I think bread bloats their bellies and provides minimal nutrition. Ok as a snack but as you rightly say slugs are better. Some larger pet stores have special seed food for them too.
