Can you ever "read" stars or their patterns?how do u identify them?
or is that known as astronomy? is there a study of stars? can teach yourself astronomy? why do stars have names?
Answers:
Astronomy is much more than just learning the constellations. You can teach yourself a lot about the constellations and about astronomy in general - there's lots of good books out there in the library and in book stores, or you can pick up Sky&Telescope Magazine or Astronomy Magazine (there are others, too).
You might want to find an amateur astronomy group in your area - they often have "star parties" open to the public, where you can look through other people's telescopes. Or find out if there is a public planetarium in your area.
Astronomy is the study of stars. You identify them by their positions in the sky, as well as their color(which relates to their life stage) Most are identified by numbers, some have common names. The reason why they have names is so that they can be easily identified and discussed.same reason why everything in the world has a name.
I think you mean constellations if so you recognise the patterns they make as they never change.
I think you are confusing astronomy (a science) with astrology (which is a BELIEF that the motion and position of celestial bodies can give us an indication of future events.
yes that field of study call astronomy. you can find teach yourself book about astronomy.
