Crows do not know when something bad is going to happen to you. They cannot predict the future. If there are some in your vicinity, they can pick up on environmental cues that we cannot. As an example, they are in the air so have a better view of the world and may makes noises when someone or something unfamiliar enters their range of sight to warn other crows.
I've always respected crows - very scary birds - big beaks, much gravitas, keep ALL other birds away from their territory - oh yes, I'm very respectful of crows...
There's crows on my backyard every day so nothing happens to me without there being a crow crawking when I get out of the house. And yet I lead a very ordinary uneventful life most of the time.
Crows are intelligent birds .
In fact i read somewhere that they can count to two .
If two people go into a barn and only one comes out they will stay wary.
How many crows can you pull from your nose, in an English country Gaaarden? I nose crows.
Edgar Allen Poe had some interesting thoughts about crows."NEVER MORE"
never warned me of danger, but there IS one around that barks like a dog and the same/another which whistles. crows got some bad press like cats goats bats snakes etc, but they don't deserve it, unless they're peckin your eyes out of course..did you see Alfred Hitchcock's "Birds"....
Crows are great birds. Like Ravens they are associated with death, but this is one of the conitations that go with most corvids. The reason for this is that they are carrion eaters- they eat dead things. They are also very protective of their young. If you should spot a young crow that has come out of its nest too early don't try to approach it or it will scream for its mama. When that happens mum and dad crow will mob you and the sky will fill with nearby crows who will intimidate you with their cries. When a crow caws, things happen, but not necessarily to you- mostly they are to busy living their own lives to give a damn about a stupid human, but occassionally one might find reason to have a one sided conversation at you :p
What the f*ck have you been smoking? What if you live near a tree full of crows nests, does that mean something bad is going to happen to you every time you step out of the door?
