The Millau Bridge France is it the first steel plate bridge to be built in the world?

Answers:
I think the questions is whether the Millau Viaduct is the FIRST bridge to use steel plates. And the answer is NO, because the
Abandoibarra footbridge in Bilbao, Spain was built earlier, in 2001/02, while the Millau Bridge was opened December 2004.
So whats the question you sound like your stating a fact.
The Millau bridge is a road bridge made out of toughthened concrete pillars then the sections of road where pre made and slid acroos the top on steel plates > Is this what you refer too?
Hmm I've heard of tin plates but steel ones? must be for the gantry...
I really dont know but is real pretty, drove over it a couple of weeks ago.
the millau bridge is the longest steel plate bridge to be built by pushing it across the spans between the supporting pillars
