Can anyone tell me how squaring the circle is achieved.ie: Alchemy.?
Answers:
this has nothing to do with alchemy
when people referred to the "squaring of the circle" as being "impossible", all they meant was that it couldn't be constructed geometrically, because a disc's area (it is more proper to say disk than circle, when talking about areas) is related to its diameter by pi, and pi is an irrational number (cannot be expressed by a fraction).
but barring this, the squaring of the disk is very easy.
This problem comes from a line of classical geometric construction problems that utilize only a straight edge and compass. It is one of the famous Four Problems Of Antiquity.

The problem is, given an arbitrary circle; construct a square of the same area using only straight edge and compass.
For centuries mathematicians and amateurs struggled with this; now we know it's impossible:

This is impossible, and Alchemy is nonsense. A square will form a repetitive number, but pi is involved in a circle, and it has no such pattern. One can be close with a bit of ingenuity but not exact.
I've always wondered is pi EXACTLY 22 over 7, and how do you find out. F'rinstance 1 inch is given as 25.4,but this is only an approximation
