If I had 22.22 grams of Hydrated copper sulphate after combustion you have 21.17 g what % has burnt?

Answers:
4.725 % was burnt from my calculations.

21.17 / 22.22 = ans x 100 = percentage left.

initial percentage - percentage left = percentage burnt
(22.22-21.17)/22.22 X 100
but youve burned nothing, all youve done is make anhydrous Cuso4.. youve evaporated the water

ignore the grammes. its 22.22 minus 21.17. then express the balance as a percentage of 22.22.

thats it. and if i give you the answer, youll never learn how to do it.
i got 4% rounded off! hope it helps!
this sounds like an AS question, you should be asking how do i work this out not whats the answer as youll be stuffed in the exams.fool

sorry just saw your other questions and realised your helping your son do homework.i havent a clue i hated chemistry with a passion
You have evaporated 1.05g of water which is 4.725% of the original mass. There is some way to go as you would have to lose 36% before all the water of crystallisation had been removed.
([22.22-21.17]/22.22)*100% = 4.725%
