Help To Stop Tigers Going Extinct.?

How can we, the ordinary people do our bit to stop Tigers going extinct?

Did you know there are more Tigers in zoos than in the wild?

SAVE THE TIGERS!!!

Answers:
Unfortunately, tiger numbers are dwindling in India because they aren't viewed as important, go to Africa and they have set up massive areas that are primarily for wild animals to roam free. The Africans were smart enough to realise a long time ago that abundant wildlife equals lots of wealthy tourists and have made damn sure that animals have the best chance they can.

Even if its motivated by money it means that the wildlife gets a fighting chance to survive and thats good enough for me.

What we can do is put pressure on the governments where tigers are in the wild and harrass them into making reserves for the animals to roam free and safely in. Campaigning and never letting up is the only way.

Most people are only dimly aware just how grim the situation is for the tiger, soon the only way you will be able to see one is in a safari park or a zoo, and after seeing lions, cheetahs and leopards in Kenya this year i have to say that a zoo is no place for a big cat, they always look miserable - its heart breaking.

We need to act - and fast.
I will stop waring my tiger skin underpants. I am not sure if this will help though, As the tiger my underpants are made of is dead.
here here. im all for saving these beautiful cats but wouldnt know how 2 go about it.lets hope there's good people out there with more ideas than me.
~Not to worry. As long as the zoos keep breeding them, they won't become extinct. To keep them going in the wild, shoot anybody that tries to further encroach on their habitat. Hey, if one wants to plant crops or build homes in the tiger's range, one deserves to be eaten. Let's give Yellowstone back to the elk, wolves, bears and bison and throw all the people out while we're at it.
We are saving the Tigers, that's why there are more tigers in zoos then in the wild, support you zoo.
Man kills tigers. Pray than man changes!! Try writing to countries where they are being hunted and beg the government there to try harder to stop the carnage. Sadly, whilst poverty and greed are widespread, the Tiger and other animals are in for a hard time.
You can pressure zoos to stop cross breeding sub species of tiger. Some stick an Indian tiger in with a Siberian tiger, breed cubs and claim they are saving the tiger. They're not.

The two sub species come from different parts of the world and are distinct; they need to be kept that way.
Given their natural habitat and the increasing human population, there's probably little that can be done sad as it is as they are truly beautifull animals, luckily they will savive in zoo's wildlife parks etc but I'm with you on wishing more could be done to save them in their natural habitat!
