Can you filter shower water so that it drinkable without sofistcated filtering systems?

I think it is called reverse osmosis. You can buy these kind of systems at Wal Mart or Home Depot.
I take it you mean post shower, as in bath water?
I think you could put it though a Brita water filter, and while any metallic or chemical contaminants might be reduced, organic matter-- bacteria and fungus and ecoli-- wouldn't be phased.
So my answer is a basic no.

Not really as the soap needs removing. If you filtered the fines out with a coffee filter and then treated it with potassium permanganate Chrystal's or Chlorine for 24hrs. You would then have to leave it in the sun for a further 24hrs to clear the chemicals. It would be drinkable in an emergency but it would not taste nice!
Yeah! I put a new sock over MY taps to filter the water for my fish tank, the guinea pigs water, my kids diluted drinks, the kettle and YES to drink on it's own.
It WORKS! Honestly! I swear by it.

I don't think so - filtering the gubbins out (technical term there!) is easy, the difficult thing would be removing the dissolved soap - soapy tea is not a good thing!
Let it run through na barrel of sand (removes big lumps of debris) and then charcoal ('polishes' the water) and it will be better for you than the "neat" water. In addition you could boil it (to kill most pathogens) or disolve a chlorine tablet in it but the taste woul be awful not "fresh".
