There are groups of nerves called "ganglia" spread out through the body, which can control individual legs or wings. A mass of ganglia in the head resembles a sort of brain, acting like a switchboard for information.
Respiratory- Most insects breath through holes in their exoskeletons, which are connected to tracheal tubes. These tubes spread throughout the body and deliver oxygen to the heart and other tissues.
Circulatory- Most insects have what is called an "open circulatory system". In this system, a heart pumps blood along short arteries into spaces around organs called sinuses. The blood is then recollected into one large sinus and returns to the heart.
