Can you freeze anti-freeze?
Answers:
Yes. It just freezes at a lower temperature. Maybe it should be called "Freeze Resistant"
No
I have seen anti freeze actually freeze up on the windshield of a car once so id have to say yes
what sort of question is that science proves you can freeze liquid anti freeze is a liquid
Yes,
Honest John is right
dont thinks but may do if put in north pole
of course u can, just has to be very cold (like you prolly couldnt do it in your freezer, maybe some liquid nitrogen or sommat)
Yes you can, stick it in liquid Nitrogen. Mind yor hand though as it will snap off
Yes you can. The question is can you make the temperature cold enough to do it? Regular antifreeze, ethylene glycol, can be made to freeze, but if we were to experience temperatures that cold, your car wouldn't be the only thing not working.
Yes. Antifreeze just reduces the frezing point of water. It is composed mainly of ethylene glycol and/or propylene glycol.
Ethylene glycol has been the standard for antifreezes and deicers for years because of its low cost. It is a colorless, slightly viscous liquid with a freezing point of -13 C, and it can lower the freezing point of water to about -50 C, depending on dilution.
Propylene glycol also is a colorless, viscous liquid at room temperature. It doesn't have a true freezing point, but becomes glasslike at -51 C, and it can lower the freezing point of water to about -60 C.
Yes.
You can freeze just about anything if you get the temperature close enough to absolute zero (except helium gas which becomes liquid).
Anti-freeze contains chemicals with a lower freezing temperature than water. I don't know the details but I suspect they are alcohol based and that the chmical concerned reacts with water or ice to make it disappear from the radiator or windscreen. The freezing temperature is obviously lower than ordinary water but I believe that it is greater than that you find in the most extreme conditions, e.g. the antarctic, which presumably means it is higher than -50 degrees centigrade.
yes somedays it refreezes as you spray it
Yes.
It just needs to be much colder than when water freezes.
General rule of thumb.. Everything can be frozen.
Course you can, it's called absolute zero, everything freezes that low.
Yes, but it need to be very cold. Maybe -30 degrees Celcius would do it.
antifreeze is a chemical additive that lowers the freezing point of water. The Wikipedia entry says this about the freezing point of antifreeze:
Most commercial antifreeze formulations include corrosion inhibiting compounds, and a colored dye (commonly a green, red or blue fluorescent) to aid in identification. A 1:1 dilution with water is usually used, resulting in a freezing point of approximately −40 °F (−40 °C). In warmer areas weaker dilutions are used.
Yes ,cool it below its freezing temperature .
of course you can! Depending on the type, it's only good down to a certain temperature.
often anti-freeze includes some alcohol. Depending on the type, the freezing point of alcohols can be around minus 115C (minus 175F). So you CAN definitely freeze it - but not without the help of fairly sophisticated (scientific) cooling equipment.
Yes, you can freeze anti-freeze if the tempurature is low enough. Anti-freeze is more aptly described as freeze resistant under normal circumstances in the weather you're apt to encounter.
Theoretically, if you can stop absolutely all molecular movement in an object or liquid, then you will have attained absolute zero -273.15 °C . Now that's cold!

yes every liquid has a freeze point and a flash point cool it enough using nitrogen and it will freeze, heat it enough and it will burst into flames
Yes. Taken low enough anything will freeze.
the proper name for a anti-freeze is ethylene glycol. Yes you can freeze it, bit it freezes at a much lower temperature than water, (which freezes at 0 degrees C obviously), so it is less likely to freeze in your car engine beause the temperature in the atmosphere never gets low enought for it to reach it's freezing point. Every substance will freeze at some point, just depends on what it is as to how cold it needs to be to freeze it.
Yes. Ethylene glycol (antifreeze) will freeze at a relatively high temperature when not mixed with water. Even when mixed at the proper 50/50 mix it will still freeze. Go to your local Auto Zone and purchase an antifreeze tester. That will show you the freezing point of your antifreeze.
DO NOT put only water or only antifreeze in your cooling system.
nope dont think so
