How does the EU plan to expand in the years to come?

Answers:
There are plans for countries such as Bulgaria and Romania to join the EU by 2007 and Turkey is currently negotiating its membership which is likely to be a few years after that.
At the moment Russia and Switzerland have expressed that they have no intention of joining
the EU. Norway, Iceland and the Ukraine are countries that may look towards joining the EU at some point in the future but at the moment have not put forward an application to do so.

And at that instant we will be exactly in the same position as we were when there was no 'Common Market' created...... in fighting, disregard of other countries issues etc etc.

It all started with lot of pomp and show. It proved to be a damp squib with nations wrangling with each other. There are obstructions at each stage. I am not a pessimist but the prospect does not look good. Poor Turkey is waiting in the wings. I doubt if it will ever be part of EU. So wither EU?

Beyond that I cannot see much growth but it is suppose to add stability and safety to those involved.
