Why are we on thes planet?

Answers:
does make you think?
we're only here for a visit
We couldn't live on any other one?
I think we are on this planet because of environmental features and oxygen and because God made this planet for us.
We are space travellers, we were on Mars then we moved here, I dont know where we are heading next, but the way the ozones going, we are off again soon !
To enjoy life!
why not - have you seen the others, we cant live here, alos if you lok at pictures of planets in space, ours is by far the preetiest - att the moment!!!
Because God created it just for us,he used to live here too he used to be Adams friend, but thank's to his sin, now we are by oursefls
personaly,i'm from Venus.
just here for a visit, beautiful planet i must say!
Because God put us here
We are here to procreate.
.
Mars!Look at it!No nothin'!NO water, air, other animals, scorching in the day frigid in the night!
Venus!Sulphuric acid raining down!900 degrees Farenheit!!Whatdya' think?!?
because we are
To screw it up, but don't worry Mother Nature isn't going to stand for it much longer.
Because living on earth is a lot better than living on youranus.
to breed ,pay taxes, live under a police state, and keep the rich richer, while most of us struggle day to day
First ask yourself why we are not on mars or Pluto or the sun.

By something or someone very powerful had made a planet just right for us to live on. If you go out discovering the world we are living on the most active planet in the solar system.
Therefore the temperature etc is just right for us to live on.

Listen to: Louis Armstrong - what a wonderful world.
The question has no meaning.

The word "why" is asking for a cause which produces an effect in normal life that can be verified.

You cannot just put the word "why" with a lot more words with no reference to things outside our experience.

You could ask :

"Why is my door not a Christian?"

"Why is the cat wishing it had three heads?"

"Why is *&^% a £$%^&*?"

"Why are we on this planet?"

No meaning.
We are on this planet because biological evolution here trends toward the more complex. Hence it's our turn to be King of the Hill.

The dinosaurs ruled the planet for 100 million years then they died out (except for the birds who descended from the dinosaurs) and left room for already-existing mammals to evolve to preeminence.

Most paleontologists believe that mammals (principally, primates) share a common ancestor with the bats, another extremely ancient lineage, and that this ancestor probably lived during the late Cretaceous together with the last dinosaurs.

However, australopithecines (our earliest hominid ancestors) didn't evolve until about 5 million years ago in East Africa.

By 2.5 million years ago, there were at least 2 evolutionary lines of hominids that were descended from the australopithecines. One line adapted to lake margin grassland environments and had an omnivorous diet that increasingly included meat. They were our early human ancestors.

The oldest fossil evidence we have for anatomically modern humans (people like us) is about 130,000 years old in Africa. That's it. That's as old as our species is.

So we're still VERY new to being King of the Hill, so to speak. We will *not* stay on top for the rest of Earth's life (about 4.5 billion years).

Things change on this planet.

Evolution happens.

Nothing stays the same over time.

We're here because an accident of biology blew the winds of fortune our way.
Why not?
Does it matter?
Until MORPHEUS wakes us up.
Because we evolved here and no other nearby planet can support life. A lack of really fast space travel helps too.
i think that we are all connected to the earth in some way, and we were put here for a reason, every single one of us,to live life to the full and to be whoever the heck we wanna be, we only have 1 stay on earth, so make it your best!
as far as we know - we're the only hospitable planet for life
If you don't know about the birds and bees ask your mum and dad
what makes you think there's a reason? there might not be one. there certainly doesn't have to be one.
if you do believe there is then your reason is as good as any.
then again you could always ask the old man himself, but i can't guarantee you'd get an answer. unless, of course, he logs on to this site!
