Is it true 'daddy long legs' only live for 20 hours?
Answers:
the crane fly lives for 3 days according to david attenborough!
Is this natural selection in action? Only a few hours ago someone said they only live for 12 hours! Survival of the fittest, yay!
I don't know. I've seen some pretty big ones. I don't think they can get that big that fast in 20 hours. Plus there has been one living in the corner of my bathtub for at least a week now!
They don't live that long if they come near me. Horrible things.
they live for a few weeks depending on the environment, they will mostly be gone by october.
i don't think that is true
Shorter if you squish them.
they don't live long - only about 10 minutes with my cat.
They live for 3 days, in the flying stage.
Dont think alot live for long when they fly to my bathroom light always find them dead by there
the one under our window is still alive after 2 days. this must be super daddy long legs. (LoL)
Did you know that they have one of the worlds deadliest venom. just have no teeth to administer it!
yeah its true some bugger always hits them with a rolled up newspaper.....and because of this fact how do we know that they could live many many years longer than our feeble life span? but we're never really likely to find that out though are we?
you're probably thinking of mayflies
according to ricky gervais(not sure if thats spelt right) they live for 1 day and have 1 of the worst venoms ever but cant use it cos they've got no teeth.. y would god do that to the poor little things
Do you mean crane flies or spiders?
I think you mean a crane fly that only lives to adulthood to mate

Well they don't live any longer than a day.
no it is false
About 24 hours. They die after mating.
It all depends if people squash them like they are now. I had to save one from being squashed at my school the other day. There not deadly. They do have the most deadly sting ever but they cant sting anything, they just can't.
