Is Infinity Really Small?
Because nothing else seems to happen in the vastness of space.
Why can't some alien race from the depths of space invade us and spice things up a bit? Little Green Prime Minister would be nice for a change.

You can have different types of infinity. For example, one type of infinite is the countably infinite. For example, the natural numbers 0,1,2,.. are countably infinite, because you can count each element (although obviously you can't physically count each natural number). However, the real numbers for example, are even bigger than the natural numbers-the real numbers are uncountably infinite, which means that there is not a bijection between the natural numbers and the real numbers. So in this sense, a countably infinite set has less elements than an uncountably infinite set, so you could say, very informally, that the set of natural numbers whilst still being an infinite set is "smaller" than the set of the real numbers.
Whilst mathematicians talk about something tending towards plus infinity, they also talk about things tending towards negative infinity, so I guess negative infinity would be "really small".
Hope this is of some interest!
no its very big
Hi We had one once when some sushi got eaten. The distance between any two points is filled with an infinite number of points.
Thought it meant "forever" - in which case, infinity would be massive. (And yes, a Little Green Prime Minister would be slightly interesting. How peculiar are you?).
infinity means forever, so it is infinitely large and small.
surely infinity can be big and small.
if something can be infinately big something else could be infinately small.
or am i being infinatley stupid?
what they said ^
I'd say no. I'd say that the largest amount (if you could call it that, it is more of an "idea" than a quantity) is ∞ (infinity sign). I'd say the smallest amount (or "idea") is 1/∞ and the lowest amount (or idea) is -∞.
It can be or it can be really large.
