Whats the surface area of the moon in comparison to land masses on the planet 'earth'?
I am curious and would like to know the size of your planets satellite in comparison to the land mass on your planet.
Answers:
"An area about the size of the continents of Australia and Africa combined. The Moon has a radius of about 1740 km, giving the Moon a surface area of 4ð(1740km)2, or about 38 million km2. By contrast, the surface area of the Earth is 4ð(6400km)2, or over 514 million km2, more than 13 times the surface area of the Moon. Australia has a surface area of about 7.7 million km2, and Africa has a surface area of about 30.3 million km2, for a combined surface area equaling 25% of the Earth’s total land mass surface area"
the moon used to be a piece of australia.

I may be wrong, but I think the moon is 1/7th of the earths' size.
