because frogs have never been tracked its hard to tell but they reckon an average tree frogs lifespan is 16 years
The length of time between it's conception and it's death, just like any living thing.
The life cycle of frogs, like that of other amphibians, consists of four main stages: egg, tadpole, metamorphosis and adult. The reliance of frogs on an aquatic environment for the egg and tadpole stages gives rise to a variety of breeding behaviours that include the well-known mating calls used by the males of most species to attract females to the bodies of water that they have chosen for breeding. Some frogs also look after their eggs—and in some cases even the tadpoles—for some time after laying.
the natural lifespan is anywhere from 2 to 4 years- sometimes 5 if they are lucky. However, in this day in age they probably will not be fortunate enough to live a "natural lifespan" considering how many you see getting squashed on the side of the road. So really it's anyone's guess.
I'm an amateur herpetologist, i specialise in snakes, but your frog will live for 3 to 5 years depending on how you take care of it and if it is content. has it got a partner?
havent some frogs and toads been shown to be able to go into a state kinda like hibernation. where they can stop all bodily functions till the right conditions arrived and they can spring back into life?

i read stories about people cracking open rocks n stuff and out jumps a frog. in the african desert they sometimes bury themselves in the sand for years sometimes till the next rains come. and in nigeria there some species which are known to change sex if there are too many of one sex.

interesting animals if you ask me.
