How long do fingerprints last on a bottle of wine?

and if a second person touches the bottle can both finger prints be recognised

Answers:
this sounds a little worring im not sure if we should be helping this guy.
Intill someone wipes them off. Yes, if the second one does not smear the first ones and they are not in the same place
weeks, months. if sample is kept out of open air that can degrade the print, it can last for years.

two prints that overlap can be separated with computer software by forensic scientists. even if the second print smudged the first print, certain parts may not be smudged and can be collected as evidence. these parts are called 'partials'.

if there are many prints on the bottle, chances are they can collect enough partials to rebuild the whole finger print.

you didnt do something bad did you? :)
Forever. If you offed your old man with a bottle of bubbly, best clean them off.
