How long would an average human survive if they stood naked in Antartica?
And how would it effect their body/ what would happen to them?
Answers:
Not very long. One a good day, Hypothermia would set in, probably within an hour. Due to the extreme cold, unconciosness would follow really quickly, and once unconcious, the average human would collapse, speeding up heat loss, until the body shut down. I doubt it would take longer than a few hours to die. less on a day with bad weather. on the other hand it might be possible to survive for as long as a day or two in the summer. now my question. What the hell would the average human be doing standing naked in antarctica?
Oh, yeah, you don't get polar bears in Antarctica. Penguins, Weddel Seals, flightless mosquitos. I don't think there are any large land-animals on antarctica.
Ouchie. Probably not very long. They'd all freeze up inside.
they'd probably be like a frozen statue in about 3 minutes.
they would freeze to death by hyperthermia in 5 minutes.
try it and see
Not long. They would freeze.
less then an our more than a minute
About 10 Min's, then things would fall of
I think they would die of hypothermia within 8 hours
About 20 minutes and it would be an uncomfortable death
only 5 munites, later he would go in promised paradise in heaven.
Yikes. Put your hand in a bucket of ice water. It hurts fast. Suffice it to say that they wouldn't live to see the million dollars that they were promised to attempt this. Let's get those kids from Jackass to try it. I think we'd all benefit from knowing. at their expense. ^_^
Apparently it takes 2 full days for the human body to freeze completly. but you'd probably have a couple or hours max. hyperthemia would kick in
you'd go into hibernation within a few minutes. once asleep (or unconscious) your body would slow down untill it stopped.and you'd die within 30 minutes. providing the polar bears dont find you first.
As the body temperature decreases the skin turns purple, the heart rate slows, hallucinations occur, hypothermia sets in and eventually the body shuts down altogether. You would be lucky to survive a whole day if you were mad enough to do that.
why would someone be naked in the Antarctica
one hour
about 45minutes to 60 minutes. It would freeze there blood and they would die.
ouch they would get hypothermia quickly die and their bodies would be preserved because it would freeze lol
I dont know, but me and my 2 little buddys do not want to find out.
dunno not long though you will freeze , are u planning to do that ? lol
Don't know about there, but here in south Louisiana you could go naked year round and barely get a chill in January.
Not long. I'd say probably less than an hour, maybe even less than 30 minutes. Hypothermia would set in, your heart rate would slow down, your blood would become thicker, you'd lose circulation, and because you're not getting good circulation, you'd not be getting blood and therefore oxygen to your brain, then you'd probably start off having hallucinations, and then go into a coma and die. But this is all relative, you could also be eaten by a polar bear within the first minute or so. They say a polar bear will track an eskimo for 50 miles. They love humans(for dinner) and have an excellent sense of smell.
There aren't any polar bears in Antartica, polar bears live at the north pole.
With 10 million penguins laughing at you die of embarassment in about 30 seconds.
I saw last time on the tele a man trying to escalade an ice in -10 degrees and he has at the (hypothemia) don't know really the spelling his blood could not pass all his body and the circulation stay just at the heart just after an hours and he was nackered.
