How to design a parcel slide?
wanting to know lots of specific details on how to design a safe slide to get a fragile parcel from 1 level to another. example of what i need to know: material of slide, safe angle, friction produced, force needed etc.

Well there are lots of factors which need to be considered, for example the horizontal+vertical distance between the two levels.
As for materials I would go with stainless steel or a hard plastic (or a combination). This is also dependent on the materials and weight of the parcels.
As for the design of the slide, firstly you would want edges on the sides of the slide so nothing falls off. Secondly a (upward) curved slide might be more appropriate so that the parcels slow down before they come off at the end(like on a childs slide).
The angles needed would have to be found by experiment with the materials of the parcel and the slide. If I had to guess then I would say 20-45 degrees.
Adding a sideways curve/bend into the slide would also slow things down using the friction generated with the sides.
Start with something slippery.
