Will there ever be a boy born who can swim faster than a shark?
Answers:
well the mako shark is the fastest shark with a reported top speed of 46mph
The worlds record at the moment for 200 m is 1:53:08 by Michael Phelps which equates to less than 6 miles per hour.
It looks as if humans will have to kill all the sharks if this is going to happen (which shouldn't be too hard)

No we weren't made to swim faster than a shark, sharks are streamlined and powerful. Whereas we are not.
That's design for you. Do you think a shark will ever walk faster than man? Or even speak for that matter?
Gareth Keenan wants to know the answer to that as well!
If you are picky, a 'boy' fish/dolphin etc can be born that might be able to swim quicker than a shark
Yes, but he will have to be a dolphin.
of course
Not
Why is it so important to you?
I think I smell a new action-movie..remember that lame Disney movie, "The World's Greatest Athlete"? Something along that line..sort of "Jaws meets Johnny Wiesmuller".
Just got word in from him upstairs and apparantly in short, the answer to your question is no. There are no current plans to create a boy that can swim faster than a shark. However, in early 3001, there are plans to create a girl who can walk slower than a tortoise.
