How do I collect propolis (tree sap)from a tree?

I know that I can squeeze the leaf buds from trees to collect propolis. I would like to extract the same or similar product but faster. Also any other liquid the tree or plants might yeald. Thanks folks Gauranga June

Do NOT punch a hole to the core of the tree.good way to kill the tree.

Find the proper species (if all you want is tree sap, go with a conifer) of tree for the extraction and using a rubber mallot, tap a hole 1/4 to 1/2 inches wide with some sort of punch (there are professional versions) approximately 2-3 inches into the tree, from the outward cambium layer (bark). Place a hollow tube snug into the hole and have a reciever of some sort for the sap to flow into. Best if performed in August through Sepetember. Good Luck!!
i think you need to eather 'Tap' them or 'strike' them.
By tap i mean tap into the core with a small tube like you are dirring into it but not killing the tree, other way is to cut a small scetion of bark off then wait for the sap to leak over the open area.
If you cut into the bark of the tree and get a "V" shape at the bottom then place a can under the vee the sap will run into it.
Important product of the bee is propolis. Bees collect this material from the sap of a tree, and carry it in their proboscis. In its pure state, propolis is kosher and is used as an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal remedy, polishing agent, and preservative. However, companies commonly process the propolis with other ingredients such as alcohol. Therefore, such a product would require a reliable hechsher.
