Is there a disease that turns people into zombies? (Romero style)?

I'm not sure about Romero style (Dawn of the Dead, right?), but the best examples I have are people falling into a "zombie-like trance" due to sleeping sickness (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/468390. ) before passing into a coma, and what I think you're REALLY looking for, a new strain of Malaria that hit Cambodia (http://65.127.124.62/south_asia/4483241.. ) and actually caused people who have died to restart their heart, and the victims became extremely violent. They called it outbreak of "zombism" :D

Besides that.No. Its impossible to bring the dead back, its againest the law of God, and the making of the human body, if you wanna see zombies I hope you can live for a couple hundred years when Jesus returns to earth and the Dead and condemmed walk the Earth.
