Is it possible to have a year in which there is no Friday the13th?

Answers:
No, not with the system of calendars that we use (in which this year is 2006 AD). There are fourteen different calendars (NOT four) that we cyclically use in this system -- and every one of them has at least one Friday 13th.

To correct another answerer, 1665 had three Friday 13's: in Feb, March and November. The '1665' he referred to is not a normal calendar. Every month begins on Thurs 1st and every 'year' is exactly the same. It's a bug in a system and not valid here.

See more details of accurate perpetual calendars below under 'sources'.

NO
I don't think so, but back in 1999, there was only one Friday the 13th and it was in August.
are you for real?!
i don't think so but if we did have a year with no friday the 13th would that mean that no one could get bad luck?
nope, there will always be one
check 2012
Nope. the calender repeats every 4 years so its impossible
i dunno but i do know that if a month starts on a Sunday it will have a Friday the 13!
There was no Friday 13th in the year 1665. The next one won't happen until the year 2331.
quote johnny "check 2012" there is one in January, April and July
The following months have a Friday the 13th:

2001 2007 2018 April, July
2002 2013 2019 2024 September, December
2003 2008 2014 2025 June
2020 March, November
2009 2015 2026 February, March, November
2004 February, August
2010 2021 2027 August
2005 2011 2016 2022 May
2028 October
2006 2017 2023 January, October
2012 January, April, July
Strangely, there is evidence to suggest that Friday the 13th is actually unlucky. Psychologists have found that some people are especially likely to have accidents or fall ill on Friday the 13th
hope this helps :)
I actually went to a conference that answered a question very similar to this.

The answer is: no. There WILL ALWAYS be a year with at least 1 Friday the 13th, but there will never be more than 4 Friday the 13ths.
No, always at least one.
No, If the 1st of month fall on an Sunday there will be Friday the13th/
What does it matter if your going to get "bad luck" your going to get it no matter what the date. Hey, things happen!
No there will always be at least one but no more than 4

1665 had 2 fri 13th
2331 has 3 fri 13th
The fact is that there must be at least 1 Friday the 13th
but no more than 3 in any given year. Why?
First, if the 13th day of the month is on Friday, the
first must be on Sunday.
Now we can divide the calendar years into 14 different
types, depending on which day of the week Jan. 1
falls on. This gives 7 ordinary years and 7 leap years.
Now take a given calendar for a given type of year
and find out how many months have their first
day on Sunday. You will find that there must
be at least 1 such month but no more than 3.
No no with our current calender system it has a 28 yr cycle then repeats. This question was answered back in 1998 the link below goes in to some depth exlpaining why. And covers the next 400 yrs giving a total of 688 friday the 13th's over the 400 yr period.
