How could you car proof a badger?

I've never seen a live badger. Have you?

Recent reports suggest that every year, 50,000 badgers are killed on UK roads. In order to save the badger population what provisions should/could be made? Furthermore how could a badger be adapted to help in its' road crossing ventures?

Answers:
Harrods has recently come out with reflective badger vests in a stunning array of designer colours. Prince Philip and Prince Charles will be delivering these vests to every badger in the UK, along with instructions for working the zipper.
Encase them in steel.

And give them super-powers
I believe that in some Candian park areas, they have created animal overpasses and animal underpasses so that animals can safely cross the road. This ensures that populations of animals aren't separated. Interestingly, I think they found that some animals strongly preferred one or the other! I'm not sure if badgers would use them or not. Try checking out the canadian park sites.
keep them off the roads either that or keep the cars off the roads or make tunnels for them to go under the road rather than over and you wouldn't want to see a live badger they make look cute but they are really vicious once they dig there teeth into you they wont let go
In Aus we concluded a treaty with the Koalas that they must adhere to a strict road crossing regime.Any individuals that break the rules are slaughtered on site and turned into wallets.
There is a plastic high frequency whistle you can buy and mount on your car's chassis and it wakes them right up and they head straight for the pub for some brew instead of holding still long enough for you to run over them. - Chris.
Huh? Have you seen the damage a badger does to a car? It's like hitting a concrete slab and plenty of cars get written off by hitting the f*ckers. You might also like to know that since it's illegal to kill badgers, people will poison/shoot them and put the bodies on the road to look like roadkill.
Go-Go Gadget wheels are needed. You know like on Inspector Gadget when the car rises up on retractable poles.
Make cars out of jelly. Make buses and bigger stuff like trucks out of mousse. This is a fact. You heard it somewhere first.
Lets get this striaght. there is no shortage of Badgers.
They are forever raiding my dustbin at 2 in the morning waking the whole house, they undermine roads and Railways and buildings with their setts.
We are over run by the vermin, spreading diseases like TB to Cattle and Deer.
Many badgers die on the roads, not accidentally but Country folk seize the rare opportunity to take one out.
Many Badgers are also killed on farms and then placed on the road and run over to make it look accidental.
Badgers aint nothing like Wind in the Willows they are very bad news.
Cull the Badgers to a reasonable population, thats the way to reduce road kill
