Will we find another planet to move to before its too late?

In a few billion/million of years mars will release gases which will be able to have life, live on it but by the time the sun evaporates all our water supply will we be able to move or will the human race end?

Answers:
I doubt we will ever see it! and even if we lived long enough to see the day, do you honestly think that government would put us first over royalty, fame, and god knows who else! Im telling ya, we would be at the back of the que!

Let face it, we have royally fooked up this planet, who said we are allowed to do it to another (if we found another planet with the ability to sustain life, then life would already be there. and I think they would tell us to go piiss!)
nope, we are all gonna die. horrible thought huh?
the human race will have evolved so much by then that we'd probably have destroyed the planet long before that.
no we wont. we will die before we could replicate earth conditions on other planet.
nope..in billion years, we already destroy our own planet..we already gone, no worries
Not before the second coming of christ we wont.
nope!everyone die before mars release
well if the human race makes it to then, we have to move or be removed. Astronomers have looked at planets in other galaxies and have found planets that have the same characteristics as ours but will only be ready in a few 100k years. They have looked at warming mars.but that will not last long as the sun will wipe out this galaxy..so far away we have to go.
It all depends, the sun is half way through its life so its got another 5 billion years left at which point it will explode as a supernova. The nearest planet to ours is about 4 and a half light years away from our solour system, if you mean because of global warming then the next planet most like ours would be Mars, failing this the moon is the only other alternative to global warming. When the Earth gets distroyed in 5 billion years time if we havent already moved out of the solour systen then we are all doomed. Ofcourse all this is imatireall if the human race becomes exstint because of war or an asteroid etc.

I hope this helps

best wishes

The sun is not evaporating our water supply. Evaporation occurs in the atmosphere and is balanced by condensation. we call that rain. If some kind of migration to mars happens, it will only be the elite rich. No one else will be able to afford it. The conditions there would require a permanently closed eco-system and energy sources would have to be found in order to support life there.
Well, there are scientists working on a couple of scenarios.

1. Try to find another planet that can sustain human life.
We haven't found one yet and even if we did we would have to find a way to make it there. Even if we found a way to make it there, we would have to find a way to transport 3 billion people efficiently.

2. Try to find a planet we can realistically reach, and create a livable environment on it.
That is one of the reasons they are exploring Mars right now with the rover. There have been some ideas to create a bubble on Mars where we can make our own atmosphere and life safely on the planet.

3. Try to find a way to move Earth as the Sun grows.
This requires a lot of energy and very precise and accurate mathematics. Even if we could find a way to propel Earth away from the Sun as it grows, we would have to be extremely careful that we didn't propel ourselves right out of the Solar System.

Pretty crazy theories huh? We will see if any of them come to fruition.
I would not worry about it yet.
IF the human race is around that long and technological
civilization continues to progress, we will be space travelers
and colonists long before that time..
With the present state of our space technology and the problems and conflicts being faced by the Human Race at present I do not think such proposals are realistic for the present. It may become a reality may be in another 500 years. We can not be sure. So talking of such things now, to me is like scientific fiction.
My family & I are going to Planet Hollywood tomorrow if that's what you mean?
Why would you want to infect another planet with humans?
The only planet in the Solar System remotely possible to be rendered habitable is Mars. The cost of doing so, and moving people there would absolutely dwarf the cost of putting our own planet in order!

As for a future scenario involving "billions of years" it always amazes me that people assume there will automatically be humans then. No large species of animal has ever lasted more than about 10 million years, most less than 5. It's a bit like individuals dying: everyone knows it's inevitable, but nobody really believes it will happen to them.
Chances are .. no at the rate we're screwing up our planet. it would take thousands of year and tons of money.
I think we will destroy this planet and all inhabitants long before any other planet presently known to us will become habitual let alone have the technology to get to!
Have a look at the last 100 years of human development. Give us a billion years to come up with a solution, and I sure the human race will survive the end of the earth. Humans will be spreading out to the nearest stars within a few thousand years.
