Well Im a muslim.. We believe that only God has the knowledge of when the world will end.. But someone asked the prophet about it and it written down in several of his sayings, signs of the end of the world.. there are many, which are about the same as in the bible (Christianity).. One way also which you will know, is the 2nd coming of Jesus.. he will come, fight against evil, bring peace and prosperity to the world, get married, have a family, remain for 40years and die a natural death.. After that, the world will end.. So as long as you know he isnt here yet, dont worry..

My boyfriend has been working in Russia, and they have apparently been working on this question (not my boyfriend, the russians!), and they reckon we have about 50 years. It seems that global warming is melting all the glaciers (sorry to break that bombshell!!), and the real problem is that all the dinosaurs that died out are preserved under it. When the ice around them melts they will properly decompose releasing serious amounts of methane, and that is what will end the world! Please don't quote me on this, as I am no scientist. Personally, I don't think it will end, it will just evolve. Whether we will still be around to see it is another question again!

when the sun becomes a supernova and all life on earth burns to a frazzle.Dont worry though, it won't be for a few hundred million years yet.
You have to wait for abound 50 crore (500 million), because our galaxy is moving towards our nearest galaxt Andromeda with a speed of 18KM/sec, and it will take around 500 million years to reach, and then.. a big collisions.
Another possibility is when our sun will be matured (almost after 250 millions of years), that stage is called red giant, then it may destroy earth.
But dont worry, it will take long time, so just enjoy your life. :)
