Using the figures 0 to 9 how can you make it add up to 1,000.?

5*8=40
40*5=200
200*5=1000
is this ok?

Or did you mean each of the figures 0..9 once only? And did you mean only using the addition sign?

This is fuckin impossible i tried every number combination and the closest i get is 999..tell me this is for extra credit cuz its mad frustrating

I don't think this can be done.
If you use every digit from 0 to 9 only once, the sum of all digits will be divisible by 9. Or at least everything I've tried has only gotten me this result. If there is in fact a relationship where they must equal a multiple of 9, then you would never get 1000 (without cheating by using decimals or fractions) since the sum of the digits in 1000 is not divisible by 9.
Am I getting close?
