Last night i saw weird lights in the sky, it was probs nothing but does anyone know about these things?

If you were more descriptive about the lights then I could try and explain what I think they were.
could be: airplanes, other aircraft, a satellite, aurora borealis, spotlights that big businesses set up and send them into the sky to attract people to a sale, etc.
I need more details to say what you saw
Miltary testing at night most likely.Or those helicopters..i hate when they do that at 4am..very annoying!!

Were they coloured lights,if so they could of been the northern lights ,I saw these once they were absolutely spectacular.aurora borealis
I don't know where you are, but you might have caught sight of the Northern Lights.. at least a tiny bit of them. This time of year is great for colours in the sky - the sunsets are amazing and very dramatic and the moon is strong. Enjoy!
If they looked like shooting stars and you are in England, then you saw dust particles from Haily's comet .We are going through the Derbies of this now until the 21st of October .So keep your eyes peeled and enjoy the show!

can be advertising lights or perhaps outer space wonder e.g. star explosions, supernovas etc!

Depends what you class as wierd.. I saw a few shooting stars just after they blew that thing up on the moon, cos the next meteor shower isnt till end of Oct.
Me+ my daughter were out with our dog when we saw what looked like a regular star, but it glowed really bright,seemed to vanish, then we spotted it again. Moving very slow. I believe these to be satalites.
Then 1 night me+my son saw what looked like a searchlight,but was shining from above

As zee said it is the Leonid meteor shower which occurs this time of year as the Earth's orbit passes through debris from a comet.

I saw these lights as well. They were really bright and they appeared 4 or 5 times. I think they are spotlights.
