What are the substances crossing the cell surface membrane in a transport mechanisms?

Answers:
Anything specific you are looking for? Like in any particular system?

I know lipids are, because the cell membrane is a semi-permeable and is particially a lipid. I'm not quite sure, but it has something to do with the membrane and the lipid bilayer and other ways of transportation.

Also, different chemicals can be transported across the cellular membrane, including, but not limited to: enzymes and other substances (besides chemicals).

Good luck.
Is this a diffusion and osmosis question for your homework? Could be nutrients or water - you need to be more specific.
