man.you need to do some work. the bud is what the leaf is called after it has been dried up, or when it "budds up". i don't know any other way to explain it to you. and bud is also a slang term for weed. bud and weed is the same thing bascially, its just called a bud when it changes form. so they can't say they found more THC in the bud than the leaf because its the same thing.goodness
