3)Earth
4)Mars
5)Jupiter
6)Saturn
7)Uranus

only 8 I'm afraid.
8. Pluto was downgraded this summer.
only eight now, as they reckon pluto no longer is worthy of its planet status
There were 9 but pluto just got cut from the list, as being too small to be a real planet, though that's totally controversial still.
Pluto no longer counted, so only eight.
supposedly pluto is no longer considered a planet because it's too small. 9 - 1 = 8 planets
8. Pluto is no longer considered a planet by the scientific community.
I don,t think any one can answer that question

Depends on what you mean by planet. Do you want to include dwarf planets? Then there are over 10-20 something planets. If you want to count the regular planets, then 8. I believe scientists are still debating on wether Pluto should be considered a planet or dwarf planet or not.
There were 9 but pluto was down graded to a sub-planet or something like that so now only 8.

According to the definition there are currently eight planets and three dwarf planets known in the solar system.
Another planet farther out than Pluto has been predicted.
Pluto has been demoted to asteroid status. Who knows?
But here is an easy way to remember them, in order away from the sun:
MElanie's Violet Eyes MAke Adoring John Sit Up Nights Pining.
MErcury Venus Earth MArs asteroid belt Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune Pluto. Isn't that easy?
Only 8 now, as far as i am aware Pluto has been kicked out of the team because its too wee!
Eight at present. Pluto wa kicked out recently and hasn't recovered from the shock!

i'l stick with nine, screw the scientists, what do they know!
did you know, that according to scientific tests from space a few years ago, they decided that life on earth could not possibly exist?
so why the fck should we believe them when they try to tell us pluto isnt a planet any more...
