What do opticians use to make the eye show under Ultraviolet Light?

When visiting the opticians they used an orange liquid in my eyes to put under a UV light, i was wondering what it was called?

Answers:
They usually use either tropicamide or phenylephrine. Its used to dilate your pupils.
The orange drops are a cobination anaesthetic and dye to make the surface of the eye more easily visible under UV. The dye constituent would normally be fluorescein.
