I don't think anyone is aware of what is actually beyond our universe. Some will say that our universe as we know it is actually a small speck of what the actual universe really is. Some will say there are other dimensions & that our universe is not the only universe.the list could go on. But we don't have the technology to truly discover how vast the universe is. I think we are only a tiny part of the grand scheme of things.
The literal definition of Universe is "EVERYTHING". If it's true that there could be "other Universes" beyond our own, and many do beleive it is so.I would think that we would need to expand our definition of what exactly constitutes "EVERYTHING"!
Personally, i don't see how space and time can expand from the size of a pinpoint into the vast size it is now without some external field for it to expand into.
A restaurant I believe. According to douglas adams.
I believe that the cosmos is infinite?
And I doubt if in our life time, would our technology ever be able to know.
Scary huh?!?!?
I believe that a star is like the nucleus of an atom, and all the electrons spinning around it are like the planets. I believe that the universe is endless and that our milky way is a spec of dust in another world like earth. Thats just an opinion though the real answer will probably never be found out.
Our universe opens infinitely. Since we are subatomic compared to our boundaries, we can surpass them. This is why it's infinite.
the universe is expanding rapidly, this means that the universe is everything. some can argue that nothing isnt a real thing. the problem is that there isnt nothing. the laws of science stop this from happening. even if its just one partcial it is still something.
To be nothing is to not exist, so, you don't have to worry about nothing, as it cannot hurt you. However, I have heard many theories about how large our universe is.
1: One theory is that our universe is a bubble (so to speak) and that as time passes by, our bubble grows, but it is being pushed against by millions of other Universal Bubbles and that one day, it will merge with another and pop.
2: I also heard that our universe is made of time. That the big bang caused time to flow and the galaxies to move apart, but that when the galaxies stop moving time will start to reverse, and we will return to nothing.
3: Now this is my theory, I believe that our Universe is infinite, but that there is a point where nothing can pass, because of phenomenons and other reasons.
What is beyond the Universe? Heaven. When God destroys the heavens and the earth at the end of time, a new Heaven will emerge, in the entire infinity of space. Before God caused the big bang to create the universe, supposedly there was nothing. But there has to be something there. That place was, and is, Heaven. It's a tricky subject to understand, mixing religion with science, but it's the only explanation, therefore the truth.
I think this question should be moved in to the philosophy section! Way to deep for me on a Friday!
