Could a fox outrun a posse of vengeful spiders?

Answers:
Perhaps.

Unless the spiders sent a couple of their fastest scouts on ahead to reconnoiter the fox's likely path. Then they they would spin giant webs across several of the most likely paths into which to the poor fox would run and be trapped.

The fox might want to carry a machete or a Swiss Army knife just to be on the safe side.
yes, i would of thought so!
Not if he's on the web!
Yes unless the spiders have a lasso and they could make that with their web, but when they stop to make it the fox would gain a head start. But the fox will be looking over his shoulder the rest of his life.
I dunno, those in Harry Potter & the Philosopher Stone were damn fast!!
Since a spider has less intellegence than a fox I would say an uncaged physically normal average to an above average IQ fox could outrun any insect that does not ride or live on the fox itself.
They probably have tiny little legs even if they are VENGEFUL!so yes.
YES.thanks for the 2 points.
Yes, but only if the vengeful spiders are not on wheels and if the fox is not dead. A fox on jet skis -though- could easily outrun a posse of vengeful spiders, a flock of raging seagulls and a herd of bigot, mad cows.
Ooooh, what have you done to them spiders, Roxie? PS: You realise that we're distantly related now <REASON FOR VIOLATION - personal communications or chatting oh shut up Yahoo>, don't you? Woof!
It really depends on just how vengeful the spiders are; spiders do tend to hold a grudge so if you do outrun them now, it doesn't mean you're home safe and dry just yet.
A fox can easily out run any spider.
I really do think this depends on how miffed the spiders are.
Um. yeah. I kinda hope this is not a serious question... Spiders don't get vengeful. They won't form a posse. And a fox could easily outrun any spider because it has more endurence and can go faster even over short areas. Besides, all the fox has to do is run across a river, and then it's pretty much safe.
That's a trick question. We all know spiders are pacifists and don't seek vengeance. Wait a second! Did this fox mark it's territory on the queen? Well that's a different story. Yes, those spiders would simple sling shot themselves onto a vengeful eagle (eagles aren't pacifists and they hate fox urine) and then take out that fox, probably with a claw to the eye and then a steady spinning of web.
