I suppose it depends on what you have been eating and when you last had a dump.
it all depends on the type of gas that you are releasing
the types of gas that are release are based off what you eat
what you eat, also has a bearing on the pressure of the fart

DEPENDS ALL ON WHAT YOU ATE.yep, macca's makes ya farts smell really bad, but veggies and fruit don't..the worse the food is for ya, the worse the smell, and also, chicks farts smell heaps worse when they have there period, its there hormones we call them period farts, pmsl..sorry couldn't help myself..

Anyway, I wish I knew the answer to that question living in a house with 4 men. The loud ones give you fair warning and allow you to make a quick exit while the silent ones sneak up on you with no notice and before you know it you've breathed in air from someone else's butt!

Depends on the composition of the fart. If its just hydrogen, then you don't get any smell as its odourless. However, mix in methane, hydrogen sulphide and other breadown products then its gets rather rancid. Depends on what you eat of course.

Try eating sprouts and parsnips one day and have a sniff the next day and then a really rich beef stew (Bouef Bourgignon is ideal) and smell that!
It's to do with how much residue excrement is in your anus. If, after going to the toilet for a no. 2, you then have a shower or bath immediately afterwards or clean your anus with a bidet, then I can guarantee any farts you omit won't be smelly.
Toilet paper does clean the anus but not as effectively as soap and water.
If you can co-ordinate your toilet habits so that your going for a no. 2 happens shortly before your regular shower/bath, then you'll have a fairly smell-free existence and will feel more confident as a result. It also helps to reduce bad odour (BO). Alternatively get yourself a bidet - marvellous invention, thankyou the french.
