If you could bestow one gift on all of humanity, what would it be?

Empathy - the intellectual identification with or vicarious experiencing of the feelings, thoughts, or attitudes of another.
OK it's a bit of an idealist answer vs realist in solving the many problems in the world but it would be a start if everyone could empathise/empathize with other peoples situations in life .. good question :) !!!
The knowledge of God.

I would say beauty, but everyone is already so beauutiful.
I would say peace, but without war there would be nothing to contrast and make peace so wonderful.
I would say contentedness, but without need there sould be no push to pursue your hopes.
Therefore, I will say love. You can never have too much love. Even though there is a lot, there is never enough. Love will lead to acceptance and eternal happiness.

Bet I dont get 10 points, I would have said something like wisdom, or the rule of law, or eradication of the welsh language, or aids, but them lads out in ethopia would rather have a big mac and fries and a coke than wisdom. Why does Oxfam give tasteless grain when they could go down to Mc Donalds and fly out some decent nutritious meals, Why not open a Mc Donalds or Burger King in famine areas instead of dishing out grain, just a thought, why should africans not have top grub.

i would gather all of man/womankinds good points from them mix them thoroughly together and give them back as much as they had to give . everyone would have the same mix of good points but in the amount their initial good points were, and a new outlook on life a foundation hopefully for basic better understanding and genuine interest in people and cultures would arise giving enough insight to every body to start pulling together and not pushing away all the time and see if any good comes from it after a time.the original good points of each individual would slowly grow back to life in them until all have original good points back and by then hopefully there would be a new oppotunity for good things to work easier and bad things to work much harder and then explain to all that most of the time it was acheived by their original self only the first part was a helping hand to get the ball rolling

The ability to empathise with other people. If we could see things from the other side all the time perhaps there would be less need to be so horrible to one another on such a grand scale.
That every individual would face their life carrying the confidence that comes from knowing they are loved by at least one person unconditionally. The knowledge that someone loves you just because you are, gives you strength and courage to face most things in life. It gives you a willingness to try. and fail. and try again. It provides a shelter to run to when life gets too hard.
Unconditional love is the greatest gift someone can give another. And too many of us spend our whole lives never knowing what it feels like to be loved without conditions or limits.
