Why do people ask questions on here, instead of just looking on the net? It is so easy to find anything...?

Sometimes people cannot find exactly what they are looking for you try it.
u get propa opinions and you can get more reliable information than on the internet
The same reason you just asked your question. To get other people's opinions.
Because its far more fun and its interesting to hear other peoples (normal peoples) opinions.

You know what, i think the same all the time. People come on here with dumb questions like 'where can i download Mp3's from' or 'whats the name of Michael Jacksons website'
I despair sometimes.
In today's society, the opinions of our peers is so much more important, and is taken more seriously than those of experts and researchers. Yes, it's easier to look up what to take for a cold, or how to install a program. But coming here is like asking your neighbor across the street, or your friend from the gym. It's how being personable, and feeling like your opinion matters, I think.
I agree with you. A lot of the answers on here seem to be uninformed opinions.

Interaction. The sense of connectedness. A range of opinion rather than hard facts.
And some people like to show off or try to shock, or to garner support or sympathy. Or to test out their own beliefs against those of others.
Lots of reasons - as many as there are questioners, I would guess.
This is much more fun that looking up the net. You get to see what other people think about things.
Although the answers you get may be misleading (at times) this forum provides a more personal venue for sharing thoughts.

i do it more so for entertainment sake and opinions. and sometimes you need specific answers or one that we know the internet can't give you. LIKE YOURS, if you would search on the internet for the answer of this question you'd get no results.

Agree with your logic, but sometimes people ask questions here for the following reason (always in my opinion):-
◘ Perhaps they would need specific rather than generic answers.
◘ It is easier for them to get a reply (notification through e-mail) rather than having to go through the list of FAQs
◘ People make use of computers for different purposes; some may want to spend some time chatting (indirectly this is chatting because you have put a question and I am answering it.), others use it for browsing etc.
◘ At times a search on the Internet is not always simple, if I had to look for something, I will probably get 100s of sites which provide the information or part thereof which I am really after.
◘ Answers on this section are given for free whereas other sites provide answers at a cost.

It maybe easy for "know it all's" like us, who know how to look for anything. But for some people who have just got a computer and know nothing about the computer and know nothing about the search engine.
So are you telling me you knew exactly how to use the computer and the search engine when you first got on the computer and you were a beginner. And why didn't you search for this answer to see if it's already been asked. It seem's like I've seen this question so many times on here, I mean come on!
Not every single question is easy to find online. As long as i've been online I've not been able to fine all the question's that ive wanted with searching. That is why I like this place cause you can ask your question's and get the answer's to.
What may seem easy to you, may seem hard to other's. Not everybody is a know it all!
So what are you doing here then dude? Go swallow a happy pill!
To gain a cross section of opinion and views on any given subject
Opinion is better than fact sometimes & the Net doesn't answer everything such as.

I think what makes a difference here is the human interaction.
You can always look up something on Google and you most likely will find an answer but that will never bring about a smile or a sadness to your face.
Also many of the people who ask Q here don't know how the net really works or they are just too lazy to read and prefer a lready answer. Others just do it for fun.
