yes, the internet has changed my life. It has made research a lot easier, but getting down to work a lot harder!
I'm here aren't I?
Talking/chatting is good for the mind. Even if it is crap you at least form an opinion.
I think the internet is definitely a great avdancement! There is so much stuff that used to take allot of time up, now we just jump on the internet and get it done in less time. As for confidence, sorry never had a problem with that.
Yes, it has changed my life. Now I can carry on correspondence with people from all around the world.
yep its made me have more headaches and my eyes hurt..
how can it not have changed your life? the incredible access to information and people couldn't be duplicated anywhere else.
i vote for it!
wow how cool is Krazy_in_Japan. never had a problem with being confident.
clearly you've never had a problem with being arrogant either
any one who will say no in here will be a total lair!
lol
The Internet has changed my life! I'm meeting more people and am a lot more confident. It helped me with my social skills and even to get on to Yahoo in the first place! If you ask me, the Internet is one of the best things in the world, the only things it can't do is help you get fitter, prevent poverty around the world and pick up litter.
Yes, it changed my life tremendously. I've gotten into contact with lots of people from all over the World who share my obscure interests, some of whom I've now actually met! I have a whole bunch of Geocities sites, and I run a discussion group. I've been able to find info that I would never have been able to find at my local or regional libraries.
For me, the Internet equals inventions like print and the steam engine.
ive not chnged but internet has become an important part of my daily activities...i have to log on atleast once a day or else my day isnt complete.im addicted to it!
YUP
Yes, it definately has. I dont go on chat lines, but I do love forums, message boards and Yahoo 7's Answers has really got me in, even though you only gain points to get to higher levels, it is addictive.
My typing speed has increased and my mind expanded from the answers from all the world.
Mind you, I do other things on the net, such as Research, banking, paying bills, messenger and assorted sites whereby I am sent emails and get paid for completing surveys and reading emails from advertisers.
I do love this technological age in so many ways.
my husband is bed bound and falls over a lot so i have to stay in a room with him 24/7. so yes the Internet has changed my life , i talk to friends, order from tesco/sainsbury/asda/ buy up all of eBay, answer questions. locate people my husband knew from 60 years ago whom he then chats to on the phone , Skye my daughters and grandchildren and keep my husband up to date medically as he is a retired GP
yaeh it did, i found some very nice friends, rather i fell in luv with one too.it improved my confidence, vocabulary, interest. & knowledge.it is indeed a gr8 thing, wish u the best to find out of it,just the way i did.
Thanks to the internet I live in a different house, have been to places I probably wouldn't have been by now otherwise, have taken up a new hobby and am getting married in January.
All because I met my fiancé on Yahoo! Personals. It must have been fate, we lived 5 miles away from each other and were often out in the same pubs on the same evenings, but had just never met.
So the internet has most definitely changed my life - for the better!
FUNNILY ENOUGH!!! I was talking about this exact subject last night! We too were wondering if anybody else felt the same or if we were just mad!! LOL nice one julie!!
If the internet has changed my life? Well, I consider the internet as the most important revolution in the third world since colonisation or the consequential independance thereafter. I do mean as well on individual as on collective base, for some years ago, and sometimes still now, communication did not lift itself above late 19th century. With the internet, not only the communication as such took a giant leap (I'm talking here about in certain cases weeks of time gained) but also the acces to information as such. Some parts of the third world have none, or very few exclusive, libraries, not to mention gouvernment-owned broadcast companies, newspapers only focused on very local or incomplete international news, and there are no groups or places whatsoever where one can discuss politics or science. Internet brings people together like never before, and their ideas/views. The real impact of this medium shall be much clearer and more pertinent in years to come, when more and more people will be joining this wonderful world. Has internet changed my life? It's definitely changing the world I live in, so can I stay unchanged in this evolving environment? If I'd go and live in the woods of Papoa New Guinea, maybe.
Hello Julie,
Yes i think it has changed my life. I'm a much more chilled out person now. I used to be much more afraid to express my opinion. Now I'm used to people shouting at me and telling me off for having passion in my opinion, although nutters give me the eeeebie geebies. And i have never ever as far as i know met anyone off the Internet. The only thing i think i have to watch, is not spending to much time on the net. I had to give up chat rooms because it ate away at my time. Although i am very fond of the people i met on line i was never brave enough to meet them in real life. Did you notice my differentiation between on line and real life? OOHHHH THIS INTERNET THIS PLAYGROUND THIS DANGER ZONE THIS MEDIUM OF TORMENT lol
So i hope you enjoy this medium for communication, but don't allow it to take you away from the relationships that count.
